The Litru Pack is equipped with a separate base plate with four mounting holes. These holes have a diameter of 12 mm and are 20 cm apart. You can easily attach the base plate to a concrete base. Then place the letterbox over it and screw it firmly in place with the supplied bolts. For a perfect fit, a specially designed concrete base is also available, which can be found at the bottom of this page under smart combinations.
Corten steel rust process
Corten steel is a particularly strong type of steel that covers itself with a protective layer of rust when exposed to the outside air. The Litru Pack is always delivered unrusted and develops its characteristic rust color in a period of 6 to 12 months. This process can be accelerated to just 2 weeks by using a rust accelerator, which you can find at the bottom of this page under smart combining. Once the rust layer is fully formed, we recommend using a rust fixer to stop the process and prevent rust water from escaping from the mailbox.

Apply a layer of gravel approximately 10 cm thick and cover it with a moisture-permeable anti-root fabric that extends at least 10 cm up the sides. Fill the Corten steel planter with a loose soil mix. Excess water can drain freely; tamping is not necessary.
With a base
Place a drainage layer of approximately 10 cm of gravel on the bottom and cover it with an anti-root fabric that extends up along the edges. Fill the Corten steel planter with a well-aerated growing medium. The drainage holes ensure controlled drainage and prevent waterlogging.
